Offering a vintage Associated Press Photo showing Art Arfons Green Monster land speed record car. German language caption sheet on the back dates this to 1964 and indicates this is taken at Bonneville Salt Flats. I have been advised this shows Art Arfons (in helmet) and his business partner and mechanic Ed Snyder after Art's land speed record was set October 6 1964 at Bonneville. Great image!

Sold as-found and I do not have further information on the age or history of this photo.

This photo measures approximately 6 1/2" by 8 1/2"

Condition: This photo has some brown toning which may be sun fading or a printing flaw. There is some other light corner wear and some minor staining on the back. Caption sheet has creasing and is folded unevenly. Overall, still a very nice vintage photo
