Offering a vintage Italian press photograph showing racing legend Juan Manuel Fangio on vacation in Rapallo Italy shortly after his retirement from Formula One racing 

Approximate translation of the Italian language caption: Fangio and his admirers all over the world feel a special emotion these days. In fact, it is precisely now that the great champion has made the decision to definitively retire from racing. After 25 years of happy marriage, Mrs. Fangio can finally enjoy a well-deserved peaceful life alongside her husband.

The place chosen by the couple for their new “honeymoon” is Rapallo. Here Manuel plays scopa (a traditional Italian card game) with admirers, takes long motorboat rides, and cruises aboard the “Mercedes 300 SL,” a gift from the Stuttgart company for having led the great German marque to victory in past years.

Condition: This photo has small bends / wear to some corners and some other light wear. Overall, still a very nice vintage photograph.
