Offering a vintage press photograph showing Admiral William S Benson. Caption indicates that Benson was made a Knight of the Order of Malta by the Pope in Rome. Benson was a retired former member of the United States Shipping Board. Underwood and Underwood press photograph dated 1929. Great image!

Measures approximately 7" by 10" excluding caption sheet.

Condition: This photo has a torn off section / bends on the lower right corner and additional bends on the lower left and upper right. There is some additional surface wrinkling on the lower edge and on the caption sheet. Pencil notations and some light staining on the back. Overall a very nice vintage photograph.
