Offering a vintage press photograph showing an early test of a parachute safety system that could detach and safely land the cabin in the event of a crash. Test was conducted at Wright Field in Ohio. Underwood and Underwood press photograph. Undated but circa 1920s or early 1930s. Great image!

Measures approximately 6 1/2" by 8 1/2" excluding caption.

Condition: This photo has some light surface staining and brown toning throughout. Caption sheet has some bends and a rough lower edge including some tears. Pencil notations on the back. Overall, still a very nice vintage photograph.
