Offering a vintage press photograph showing a portrait of Lieutenant Colonel George Loyd Courthorpe - British politician who introduced a bill requiring that ships make alcoholic beverages available to provide to passengers on demand. This was apparently in reprisal for United States prohibition laws. Keystone View company press photo - undated but likely 1920s era. Very interesting piece
Sold as-found and I do not have any additional information on the age or history of this photo.
Measures approximately 6 1/2" by 8 1/2"
Condition: A section of the caption sheet has torn and stuck to the lower edge of the photo. Some light surface staining, other small tears on the caption and other wear throughout. Overall, still a very nice vintage photograph.
