Sultan of Selangor on Battleship Cruiser Newcastle Press Photo Malaysia 1955

Offering a vintage press photograph captioned as showing the Sultan of Selangor which I believe is now Malaysia on the Cruiser ship Newcastle. Caption describes the Sultan watching the shelling of a communist group. Daily Telegraph press stamp with 1955 date and additional Associated Press stamp from London on the back. This photo has been painted over / embellished with paint to highlight the image for press / publication use. Great image! 

Sold as-found and I do not have any further information regarding the age or history of this photograph. Identifications, dates, locations and similar details are to the best of my ability but are not certain - view all photos carefully before purchase. 

Measures approximately 8" by 10"

Condition: This photo has been painted over / embellished with paint to highlight the image for press / publication use. There is some additional surface staining throughout, with some light corner wear and other surface wear. Pen / crayon notations on the back along with some paper loss / adhesive residue which suggests a caption sheet may be missing (sold as-is). Overall, still a very nice vintage photograph.
