a vintage press photograph showing a portrait of British mystery writer Valentine Williams. Caption describes how Williams' book The Clock Ticks on was the only book President Franklin Roosevelt read while cruising on the Vincent Astor Yacht Nourmahal. Caption also describes Williams' not believing King Tut death curse theories. Underwood and Underwood press photograph circa approximately early 1930s era. Great image!

Measures approximately 7" by 10" excluding caption sheet.
Condition: This photo has some brown toning / discoloration and some discoloration / wear from the caption sheet on the lower edge of the image. Some surface staining on the back and other wear. Overall, still a very nice vintage photograph.
