Vintage 1946 Pencil Illustration Drawing Aircraft Engine Motor by Ford Engineer

Offering a unique vintage pencil illustration showing what appears to be an aircraft engine. Incredible detail! This piece is dated 1946 and signed De Angelis for George De Angelis, noted Ford Motor Company engineer. The illustration is guaranteed original / authentic from 1946 and is pencil on 'onion skin' type paper.

The piece was recently professionally matted in a dark charcoal grey. This was done to replace the original cardboard border mat which was badly torn / stained. The actual illustration has a border of glue residue around it from the removal of this original mat, but this is not at all visible under the current mat. The actual image visible is in excellent condition with no tears, staining, etc. Small dent on the upper right on the back of the foam core. Overall, a very nice piece for its age.

Measures approximately 13" by 18" overall. The art portion is approximately 3" by 9"
