Offering a unique vintage photograph showing an unidentified racing driver behind the wheel of a Porsche car. Photographer stamp on the back from Jutta Fausel with 1969 date. Pen notation indicates German Grand Prix race (sold as-is). Great image!
Another eBay user has provided the following about this piece: The car pictured is a Porsche 804 Formula 1. They were only raced in 1962. The date on the back of the photo is the correct for the 1969 German Grand Prix so I must assume the car was there for an “Historic” race or display of old F1 cars. In 1962 the two 804’s were driven by Dan Gurney and Jo Bonnier. I can’t identify the driver in the picture, but it’s not Gurney or Bonnier.
Sold as-found and I do not have any further information on the age, location or history of this photograph. Acquired from Germany.
This photo measures approximately 5" by 7"
Condition: This photo is in good condition overall with some light wear. Pencil notations on the back.
